The whole of Japan M4 (October 1999)

A magnitude (M) 5.8 earthquake occurred in the vicinity of Etorofu Island. An M5.6 earthquake occurred offshore of Iwate Prefecture (Pref.). An M5.0 earthquake occurred offshore of Fukushima Pref. An M5.0 earthquake occurred offshore of Ibaraki Pref. An M5.2 earthquake occurred southeast offshore of Boso Peninsula. An M5.5 earthquake occurred east of the trench axis off the eastern shore of Hachijojima Island. Two M5.0 earthquakes occurred in the sea near Yonaguni Island [Taiwan Vicinity]. Two M5.0 aftershocks of the Taiwan earthquake occurred. Also, an M5.9 earthquake occurred in southern Taiwan [Taiwan Vicinity].
