The whole of Japan M4 (January, 1999)

There were an M5.6 earthquake near Etorofu Island at a depth of 120km, an M5.5 off the coast of Miyagi Pref., an M5.0 off the coast of Ibaraki Pref., an M5.2 off the coast of Tokaido(Central Honshu) at a depth of 290km, an M5.7 in the sea near Torishima Island at a depth of 530km, an M6.0 in the sea near Chichijima Island at a depth of 470km, and an M6.2 in the sea near Tanegashima Island.

There also occurred an M4.7 earthquake in central Nagano Pref., causing damage.
