Immediate Foreshock Activity - Occurred Outside of the Main Fault Plane of the M7.6 Earthquake -

– The immediate foreshock activity was located deep within the southeast-dipping fault plane that caused the 2023 M6.5 earthquake.
– The foreshocks were characterized by localized and swarm activity, suggesting fluid effects on the fault.
– After the 2024 M7.6 earthquake, the seismically active region became shallower, and several southeast-dipping faults are suggested.
