Earthquake Off-shore West of Fukuoka Prefecture (M7.0) and ΔCFF for the Kego Fault

On March 20, 2005, at 10:53 (JST) there was a M7.0 earthquake at a depth of 9km off-shore west of Fukuoka prefecture (maximum seismic intensity 6 Lower). The focal mechanism showed a strike-slip fault with a tension axis in a N-S direction.
The Kego fault (trace is shown in the figure, assuming strike=315 deg, dip=90 deg, rake=0 deg) is located in a NW-SE direction approximately 15km SE of the recent activity.
The effect on this fault zone is 10 to 100 times larger than the Earth tide (1000Pa).

Target: strike = 315 deg, dip = 90 deg, rake = 0 deg
Source: length of the fault = 25km, width = 10km, strike = 302 deg, dip = 68 deg, rake = -3 deg, moment = 1.30~1019Nm
