Seismic activity in the sea near Amami Oshima island

On the 6th, there was an M6.1 event, and its focal mechanism was a reverse fault type with a northwest-southeast pressure axis. Also, on the 15th, there was an M5.8 event 60 km to the east, near the sea trench axis, and its focal mechanism was a normal fault type with an eastwest tension axis.
