Sendai Bay earthquake (2000/3/20/06:26 M5.0 Depth (D)=78km)

An M5.0 earthquake occurred on 20 March in Sendai Bay at a depth of 78km. This event occurred on the bottom plane of the subducting Pacific Plate's double-planed seismic zone, and the focal mechanism showed a torsion axis in the direction of the subducting plate.
