The purpose of this project is to develop and to practice the curriculum of the education of prevention & protection against disasters. We enrich the current and methods of it, and support the able persons for it.
We have developed and practiced the effective curriculum of prevention & protection against disasters, in order to construct the system for promotion of evacuation against Tsunami and the education of prevention & protection against disasters.
Kamaishi's Committee of Education of Prevention & Protection against Disasters Support & Promotion, which has been composed with principals of elementary and junior high schools in Kamaishi and staff involved in prevention & protection against disasters, has been set up.
It has considered the goal and methods of this project and has promoted mutual understanding of the problems.
2 working groups (WGs) have also been set up.
One is the WG for the development of the education program of prevention & protection against disasters for leaders, involved in citizens.
The other is the WG for it, involved in teachers of elementary and junior high schools in Kamaishi.
They have researched the curriculum of the education of prevention & protection against disasters for leaders and students, showed the the curriculum of it concretely at the workshops and schools.
We, in the end, will construct the system for securing students and children from the disasters, practicing the curriculum of the education of prevention & protection against disasters at all of elementary and junior high schools continuously.
